A lovely, old and well-groomed park amidst the busy capital. Best view over the harbour, many lovely benches to sit and soak in scenery and happily growing old trees and young plants. A perfect resting spot after a walk in town.

I walked round the gardens in the mornings as I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the gardens.The pond area with ducks and swans is wonderful.A free park for all.

After a wander around the city of Funchal this beautiful park is a gentle oasis of calm and quiet to have a lovely rest in the shade and watch the world go by.

With free entrance this well cared for park is full of lovely trees and flowers. Although it is on a hill there are slopes and shallow steps.

Sorry, no I didn't see one. We walked through the park 3 or 4 times. There is a building at the bottom end of the park that was having work done on it but not sure what it was

no cafe when i was there easter time and no sign of where it could be. there is no charge for this park you just walk through

I notice a couple of reviews mentioning a entry fee for this park we have visited here often and never been charged to enter is this something new?
