We made the crossing from Madera to Porto Santo on a particularly rough day so perhaps this review is a bit unfair. The boat was certainly rather unstable during the rough seas and was very dangerous when moving around.

Cruise was OK, nothing special, not overbooked, this is a only mean of transport to Porto Santo island, from Madera it goes at 6 AM and it drives you back at 6 PM. Ticket is 60 euros per person, and it lasts about 40 min.More

The ferry usually is taken out of service in mid January for annual maintenance. This takes approximately 4-5 weeks and it returns in late February.
