Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point that you can visit on the European continent. The Serra de Sintra here abruptly meets the Atlantic Ocean in a cliff of more than 100m high. The views of the cliff are breathtaking.

The beach is amazing. We were there in November and it was sunny enough to sit down without T-shirt. The surrounding mountains block the winds effectively.

Easy to get to by bus, beautiful views of the rugged coastline, I would say sturdy shoes required due to some rocky pathways. Photo opportunity available at the farthest Western Point and good weather would be an advantage. Bar and Restaurant available, reasonable prices and...More

This beach is full of locals which is great, it isn't overly crowded and their are life guards. The waves here are huge and very rough, while the locals were able to drive straight in, we took a bit longer to adjust, as the water...More

It takes 15 to 20 minutes to walk down to the beach via a small path, but the views are astonishing during the walk and once on the beach. A diversity of people, hippies, families, nudists, a.o. all enjoying the same beautiful peace of nature.

Easily one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. It's absolutely stunning. It's a bit hard to get to, as you have to go down this massive cliff, and it's quite steep at times, but it's so worth it. Be ware of naked...More

If you park the car in the road to Cabo da Roca it's about 10-15 minutes walk until the last parking spot (but I wouldn't recommend to go all the way to this spot and try to park the car because 1. If you gave a small car... More

Hey A stroller would not be possible to navigate over the rocks and it's pretty steep, you would probably need to use your hands sometimes. Have fun!

You can catch the bus from Sintra - takes about 30/40 mins. Can't remember the fare but it isn't very expensive.
