About
Located in the historic center of the village of Palmela, this old winery began its activity in the 1940's and remained as a winemaking center until 2008. After re-qualification, it is today assumed to be a memory space and is ready for the performance of new functions. In the shop, next to the "tegão" and to the distillery you can now have a coffee, to delight in our local products, have a light meal and, above all, to enjoy the wines of the house; and if the weather is fine, you can do all this in the comfort of our patio. Our visitors, as well as a guided visit to the winery, can also make guided wine tastings.

Definitely worth staying here

This hotel only has 4 bedrooms, so the staff are very attentive and caring.

The house itself was part of an old winery and opposite is their 'adega' and museum. This is well worth a visit and you can sample their wine, which is really good. The tour of the 'adega' is all included in your room charge, together with a large glass of wine.

We thoroughly recommend booking the bedroom overlooking the pool, it has a extra large double bed, modern shower room (large shower enclosure, basin and separate toilet). There is free wifi, tv, hairdryer and tea making facilities.

It was a real bonus to have a pool (all to ourselves!) and we were provided with pool towels. The pool was a perfect temperature and after swimming we relaxed under one of the parasols on the deck chairs.

There was a good selection for breakfast and for dinner there are a few options close by. We loved Cultos (5 mins walk away below the Castle) a modern restaurant with excellent food and fabulous views over Palmela and beyond.

Parking was easy, even for a large estate car, and safe on the road in front of the house. You can come and go as you please, as there is an entrance door code.

A big thank you to Maria, Lourdes (the owner) and Diogo (who gives you a tour and history of the winery). They are all very friendly, helpful and speak English, which really assisted us 😃.
