A place to be in Lisbon for Benfica fans and not only. We had the opportunity to attend a portuguese league game of football (Benfica - Arouca) with an attendance of above 45000 people. The following day we also attended two indoor sports activities: basketball and futsal games of the respective Portuguese League.

On a short break in Lisbon we went to watch Benfica Vs Dortmund as a surprise birthday present the atmosphere was crazy the noise and flags were great, having watched much football and rugby in the uk over the years i can honestly say the atmosphere and singing was the best i have ever heard.

The center stage for Portuguese main sport and most known team. The recent museum is definitely worth a visit! Better still in a match day. More than 45.000 average attendance in a very safe and familiar environment - even for non Benfica supporters

Every one should visit the museum of SL Benfica, even if you aren't fan of it. The history of the club is complimented with the history of the city of Lisbon. Is mandatory to see one or both eagles of the club.

So interesting and so nice especially if you are a football fan. Eusebio's statue in front of the stadium, very modern museum, three eagles... You must feel how big club Benfica is and how important is for not only its fans. Absolutelly worth to see.

As a lover of "The Beautiful Game" i just had to visit the stadium, given the footballing history that has been made here. Stadium tours are available all day and the club shop is reasonably priced.
