This is a pleasant statue on Rua Garrett in the middle of the shopping and cafes. People pose for a photo. An important Portuguese writer.

Really? This, the famous Portguese capital city, has this as an iconic landmark?. Honestly, that truly sums up the massive disappointment that is Lisbon. The stories far outweigh the reality which is that this city can be safely removed from people's travel checklist

In all honesty you must have your picture taken here. Everyone who visits Lisbon takes a picture of Pessoa statue set in front on one of Lisbons most famous coffee shops.

I loved the sculpture of Fernando Pessoa with its humoristic statement in the middle of the busy city of Lisbon. As a tourist you appreciate those nice spots for taking pictures.

Escultura de Fernando Pessoa is situated appropriately in Baixa outside the famous Brasiliera coffee house and bar. Sit and have your photo taken with him.
