After Brighton (UK) beach, this is probably the worst beach I've ever seen. If you are into surfing, then you'd love this place. If you are not into swimming in -10 degrees water, then stay away.

We stayed right across from the beach and it was a beautiful location for a quick trip. Lots of restaurants on the beachfront, only a quick trip to the Lisbon city centre too and not far from the airport. Lots of fresh seafood too

White sandy beaches on the Atlantic very close to LIsbon. Try the ones farther away from the village. Less crowded and with great restaurants / bars

By car is about 20 min depending on traffic, especially on the bridge over tagus. There are other beaches on the north side between lisbon and Cascais. If you're not drivig a car these beaches are easier to reach by train... More
despite the review showing 1 star, I actually meant to give it 5 stars! dont know what went wrong and don't seem to be able to amend the original issue.
