You really can see a large portion of Lisbon from here. If you buy a bottle of wine, meat and cheese, it makes for a perfect sunset location. There are other places in the city that are better if you're willing to be a part of a crowd, which if you're going here you should be.

Its a steep walk up to the viewpoint but well worth it for the views across to the castle , town below and the river and suspension bridge .

Of all the amazing viewpoints in Lisbon this has to be my favourite. My girlfriend and I reached this via a number of other, previously visited viewpoints climbing up the hills through Alfama and it was definitely worth it. Great views over the city, castle, and even out towards the Tejo and beyond!

Our tour guide swore that this spot had the best views in all of Lisbon. We think he was correct. You can see everything from St. Jorge Castle to the roof scape of the city. Romantic spot at night as well.

This was the final stop on our walking tour. The view of Lisbon was spectacular with Lisbon spread out below, the Sao Jorge Castelo across the way and the 25th of April Bridge in the background.

Stunningly beautiful views are available from this location. It's remarkable and free. You'll also find my great things to eat here from various local vendors. Very strongly recommended.

Accessible by many mean, including tuk tuk tours, it's a place where you get a breathtaking view over the city of Lisbon. Personally, my favorite, no doubt! Do check for the smals restaurants next to it, great foods at a great price!

It's a fairly steep walk uphill (or you take the #28 tramway) but you simply won't regret! And if you are lucky, there is a mobile kiosque waiting with some refreshments. For all the lovers: you can fix your love-padlocks on the railing... ;-)

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
