Great area in Lisbon. Safe, central, great restaurants and shopping. Have a Portuguese tart and coffee in one of the many establishments.

Glamorous area where you can find the best fashion shops of national and international designers. Place of election of the former writer Fernando Pessoa. Right next street is a well-known zone of bars and restaurants
Walking, shopping, restaurants, cafes - wander around and get lost in Chidao. Lots of shops to explore, small roads, grab some gelato. It's close to the river front, so you can stroll down for a nice view at sunset. One of the best neighborhoods in...More
If we visit Lisbon this is a must do. Completely remodelled because of the fire more than 20 years ago. It is full of charm and good vibes. Very beautiful views of Lisbon from Chiado. The good brands stores we also can find there.
Old but lovely part of the city - shops, bars, restaurants, sightseeing off the beaten track - just stay away from those places where they need to hassle you to partake of their own versions of supposed local food - it isn't. Lots of walking...More
This neighbourhood gives you the real Lisbon. You need to walk the streets to find all the hidden places . Great shopping in the day and awesome nightlifre When the sun goes down
Located in the center of town - which I consider the riverbank to Restauradores - have fun getting lost and finding the neighborhood gems.

We spent quite a bit of time here -- good shopping (including tile shops) and people watching. Very walkable although a little steep like most of Lisbon. Easy to reach via Metro.
