What an absolute prime location, overlooking the cityscape of Lisbon and over the Tegus and towns beyond, very nice. I was down at the Vasco de Gama monument and saw this beautiful building perched up on the hill, just jumped out up there, very impressive looking.

This palace is well worth a visit. Of particular interest to me were the room of porcelain furniture and the winter garden made of marble. The Queen's dining room was also spectacular and looks ready for guests to arrive.

If you didn't know the meaning of the work baroque you will by the time you've been through this museum. We are lovers of museums and palaces, this combines both in an amazing glimpse of the history of the royal family. The material there is amazing and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. When the weather is good it's brilliant. Very picturesque and lovely restaurants all around. By the sea with lovely long walks along the coastine

Been there lots of times. If youre a Tourist this is a place you cant miss when visiting lisbon. And the temporary exibitions are very well curated.

Worth a visit and near the botanical gardens and other sights. Not so many tourists as in some of the other places.

The Ajuda National Palace is close to the monastery and parks and is well worth a visit . Nice detail on exterior also

As the others have mentioned, it is not heavily visited, even if there is a bus stop on its front. It is further above the Geronimo monastery. What strikes me is the way they were able to keep the furnishings despite the changes in govt and the passage of time. A great place to visit for the royalty fans -... More
