Located at the end of the river bridge this is a must see. Bring your camera as the angles and light is wonderful. Two levels of lines, sculptures, tiles and the ceiling is to die for. Great!

This Monastery is on the other side of the river but it is worth a visit. The Monastery itself is amazing and knowing that it was under water and silt until very recently adds to its magnificent presence. In Summer, sometimes, they hold concerts there....More

Great looking cathedral with mosaics, outstanding ceilings, huge organ and amazing paintings. A working church and a tourist site.

Good exhibition and film explaining the history. There is a small restaurant here which is very good and excellent value.

Full with history I recommend that you see the documentary ( movie) before you visit the ruin. Queen Isabel and Ines de Castro lived on this monastery
