Good place to spend an hour. Better to call and reserve your place, as it fills up very quickly. Plus, they only take 15 people max per tour group. Next door is a restaurant in case you’ve got time for a beer. The staff speak...More

I ended up visiting the tunnel accidentally - and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The tunnel itself is stunning, but the staff are the cherry on the top. Our guide (Hugo) made the tour very interesting - with...More

Although we visited out of season it's best to book your visit as tour groups are limited to 15. Very interesting tour with Hugo who is extremely well informed and, as an environmentalist, is able to explain and guide through the caves with passion.

I expected much more when i went to see a lava cave. The tour itself was about 15 minutes long and i saw maybe 15m of cave. For 5 euros I was very disappointed. There are the longer tours which sound much better and I...More

The cave itself is okay to see, nothing too spectacular. If you could visit it for just 15 minutes I'd totally suggest you go. But, you have to take the guided tour which lasts an entire hour. It starts with a 10 minute video in...More

Due to the rain we decided to go and see the lava caves, as an alternative to sightseeing. The tour starts with an old video which takes too long and then you’re taken down to the lava caves. There are two small caves, there’s not...More

It is damp in the caves and the ground surface is very uneven in places as the lava has left rugged and quite spikey areas. As long as your footwear is strong enough to protect your feet and the soles are non slip and thick... More
