Yes, it was nice experience. Unfortunately, I did not take a binocular and the whales were quite far. Finally, we could see only water fantaines and back fins. I liked this ambient on the boat - everybody enjoyed it. Dolphines had also very nice performance.

I'M sorry to say I didn't see any whales but we did see a lot of dolphins. The crew is very nice and they speak English. They made a good effort to provide us with the best trip they could offer. Unfortunately we went on November and since the best months for whale watching are from May through August we... More

We were really keen to go on a whale watching trip on our recent visit to the Azores. We've been whale watching before and it's a fabulous experience - and the Azores has a reputation as one of the best locations because it's on a number of species' migration routes. Unfortunately we were there in November and all the migratory... More

We went for a trip with Jose Costa in september 2016,he is a really nice guy who goes out of his way to find whales etc for his passengers. He is qualified to go out further than the other operators and also usually stays out far longer - we were out for at least 4.5 hours. They are cheaper than the... More

This tour company charges 20 Euros less than other similar tour companies and appears less crowded or cramped than other boat s i saw. While no whales were seen the day i went out is was a sunny day and the search on the water provided excellent views of the island shore as well as the excitement of seeing quite... More

A must when visiting the Azores. There are so many whales in the area along with dolphins sea turtles and brilliant coastlines to see while visiting the islands. There are also many ways to see the sea life. Big fancy shmancy ships with big expensive price tags for the privilege. There are pontoon boats that keep you right at water... More

Overall, I couldn't fault this tour operator: they are cheaper than all the competitors in the area, they have a lovely full size boat rather than that dangerous rubber thing, captain/owner is very friendly and enthusiastic. I didn't give it 5 stars because a) we didn't see any whales (yes, I know, it's nature and it can't be guaranteed, but... More

We had one day for whale watching in Sao Miguel, so I wanted to make sure that we pick the right tour operator to maximize our chances in spotting whales. I am delighted to say that everything that has been promised by this company has been fulfilled. We were lucky enough to have spotted numerous playful dolphins and a few... More

The cheapest tour operator and we stayed out the longest. We saw sperm whales, false orcas whales and more dolphins than you could shake a stick at. The captain came round and showed us on a board what we'd seen, he and all his staff were very enthusiastic. (Someone complained that he didn't say where we were going...seriously we just... More

Great experience with Moby Dick Tours. We were initially going to go with another Tour company but chose Moby Dick because of Captain Jose. Very friendly and professional. And yes, we did see several sperm whales and the 'surfing' dolphins.
