If you can't have a barbecue at your hotel or appartment in Ponta Delgada. Just drive up to Pinhal da Paz and take your barbecuw with you. Lot of fireplaces and a nice ambiente for a walk.

So well kept and interesting. Place to take photos. Enjoyed visiting nearly every day! Could do with a few more benches.

This park is amazing. It's huge. There is so much to walk around and see. Hike to the top for a beautiful view. This is the perfect place for a picnic of bbq. The nature is beautiful.

I've been many times to the Azores as a kid and never visited this park. Amazing green space with places to sit and picnic. No mountain driving needed; easy drive from Ponta Delgada. The bird sanctuary did not have many exotic birds but it was...More

Nice place to visit, bring friends and family and to spend time on pic-nic style. Wide areas with lots of green spaces. It is a big far from local access. You will need car to take you there.

If you go to the beach water temp is cold, but if you go to any thermal springs water is nice and warm.
