Not really any idea of presentation, compared with ,say, UK, Germany, Holland. Nothing there. Poor designe, surfasse área. No ideas.

The castle has not too much to offer except some very nice views over the city and surrounding landscapes. I would still recommend to go here. Buy a combination ticket for the archeology museum and you get a good feel for Silves past.

There wasnt much to do but just enjoy the views and check out some lovely Architecture. I did enjoy reading about the Lynx re introduction in the exhibition.

Visited this as recommended we had great views over the town and also walking around the castle walls enjoyed the belly dancer show it was not tacky also watching the bird of prey being flown great visit but could be better

To answer my own question access to Silves Castle is pretty good and it is worth a visit. There is no disabled parking at the castle entrance but you could drop off/pick up, there is disabled bay a short way up the road... More

Leaflet says open daily except Christmas and New Year's day. Winter 9am to 5.30pm(last entry 5pm ) contact silves council tel 00351282440800 ext 2704 such a shame to miss out, its worth a visit. Hope this helps you.
