We visited the point and we amazed by the views. The ability to see along the southern coast and west coast of Portugal from the same spot speaks to the rarity of the location. Well worth the drive. We are staying in the Algarve and made a day of it seeing other landmarks along the way.

I really recommend you to go there. This place is really beautiful. Maybe it's not a lot to do there but the scenery is breathtaking. But you need a car to get there.

Spain has its Cape Finisterre, Portugal and the Algarve coast have Cape Saint Vincent. My visit started an hour before sunset. It was full of tourists, busses, cars, bikes and motorcycles. There are so many places to see the sunset, no two visits will be the same. Unfortunately, a large portion neighboring the Lighthouse are closed to the public and... More

We were lucky with the weather. An interesting location if the wind is not too strong but not much to do as it was closed, although it was meant to be open on the day we visited.

We just went to the most westerly point in the Algarve. Is there a lot to do? No but it was pretty and scenic and has a wonderful rugged coastline to look at

If the weather is warm and sunny - a great view and interesting to watch the locals fish from the clifftops. If the weather is wild it's a dramatic place to watch the sea. Pleanty of great clifftop walks either side.

We planned out visit on a sunny day to enjoy the promised views and were not disappointed. There is a very nice coffee shop in the grounds of the lighthouse and quite a few tourist stalls by the parking spaces. I think this could get very busy in high season.

Thank Ruth H
