This is a very beautiful stop in the Algarve. You can trek down and see boats that are on tour or you can just stay on top and admire the beauty of the place.

The rock formations are beautiful. Unfortunately it can get crowded but if you walk along the sea cliffs the crowd thins out some. You can also get a boat ride that goes in and around the arches. There are also companies that lead kayak tours...More

Beautiful coastline for a hike - within easy walking, cycling, kayaking (or bus, or other road transport) from Lagos town centre. Unfortunately its popularity means there is a confusing array of footpaths, some of which have become dangerous as the coast erodes. This time, we...More

Photos don't do it justice. Lots of places to walk around the cliffs water is gorgeous. A little cafe by the lighthouse to grab lunch. Come back in the evening for sunset.

Very pretty, but be careful if you have little children or dogs - it's a long way down! You can walk all the way to Luz so take a drink to refresh yourself!

With absolutely gorgeous views and probably the most scenic and serene place in Europe, this is certainly a must to visit. The steps going down and coming up can be a bit steep and may not be suitable for people with heart conditions etc, but...More

Easy to get too with plenty of parking (we couldn’t access the toilets so be aware of that) on lots and roads. Walking trails were abundant and there is a small place to grab a snack. Pet friendly. Stairs down to the waters edge.

We walked from town to Ponta da Piedade, and it was a bit of a walk. Since I don't know exactly where you will be staying, it may be better to take a cab into town, and make the decision whether or not to walk back. I have... More

Go to the free car park walk down the steps and you can take a boat there and then. We paid 65 Euro for 5 of us and they gave concessions for young children, well worth it!

It's very obvious where it starts. You genuinely can't miss it. If you're on the main road you should be able see it when traveling by car. There is one snack bar and then there is like a little port. However there is only... More
