About
Located on the western entrance of Faro, just 5 minutes from the airport, Forum Algarve is one of the largest shopping centers in the region. With 120 shops, including 20 restaurants and 5 cinema screens, a Hypermarket and a parking area for 2.250 vehicles, it is a landmark project that has rapidly become an obligatory stop for many thousands of local consumers, as well as tourists. Forum Algarve's architectural concept was inspired by the regional lifestyle, in an open-air space that makes the best of the Algarve's sunny days. The materials used in its conception reflect Faro's history and traditional style. The shopping center has prestigious brands with renown names like Mango, Gant, Zara, Cortefiel, Sportzone, C&A, Nespresso, Fnac, Samsung and GMS Apple Store, as well a medical clinic and a pharmacy. The Cinemas NOS have 5 screens with the most modern sound and image technology, and the movies are all displayed in the original language. To complement the commercial offer, the Shopping Center also has 20 restaurants ready to satisfy the most demanding gastronomic needs, from international fast-food to typical Portuguese cuisine. For the comfort and convenience of tourist visitors of Forum Algarve, the shopping center also provide a service of flight information connected to Faro Airport, a check-in point to print the boarding pass for free, train and bus tickets and lockers for luggage.

Faro airport is a nightmare!!! I will never visit portugal ever again until they get there customs sorted as waiting in a queue for over a hour just isn't good enough. Europe making it difficult for British passangers is going to affect portugals economy when people stop going on holiday there

I was in Faro last week for a conference and had little time to explore the city, etc. I had a few hours so decided to visit the Forum Algarve to do some shopping. I stayed at Hotel Eva. A taxi took me there. When I was ready to leave, I called a taxi which never came. I went to the Information Desk and she called another taxi which a rude customer grabbed before I could take it. In short, this process went on for two hours when I tried in vain to get help from various mall employees including security. Nobody could help me. Needless to say, the experience was very stressful. Finally one employee called an Uber for me and I reimbursed her. The reason I am writing this review is to warn future shoppers that you may not be able to get back to your hotel when ready to leave the Forum because nobody at the mall seems to care about the welfare of their shoppers.

Definitely worth a trip while in Faro. We were surprised how many shops were there and in a really nice setting. There was loads of choice in the food courts too.

Large modern mall close to Faro airport. Apart from a wide variety of shops it also has a cinema, large food court and an Auchan supermarket. A good time to go is in the evenings when it is less busy and it’s also a but cooler. There is both underground and above ground parking.

For a small city with a population of around 170,000 inhabitants, it was quite a surprise to find such a superb shopping mall as "Fórum Algarve" in Faro! Just off the city center, the mall has plenty of parking places, large corridors and an excellent variety of shops. Its food court averages to the best ones I've ever seen. Anyway, I don't think you came all the way down to Faro to visit a shopping mall, as they are just about the same all over the world. But, staying in Faro for a few days, I had enough time to visit "Fórum Algarve"and, not surprisingly, did some shopping and even dined! Enjoy!

The shopping centre is on two floors and the car park is on -1 (underground).
There is a big Auchan, few sports shops one of them Adidas and other brands as Zara, a playground for kids and few (or lotw of) coffee shops.

We were last in Faro 2019 & had a great week. There were these power boats taking you to a beautiful beach Ihla deserta..? We’re thinking of going mid/end October does anyone know if they still operate at that time of year? As it’s a city I’m assuming all restaurants and bars would still be open ..? Thanks

Hellos from Finland. My wife and I are thinking of a week in the Algarve region based in Alvor/Portimao and hope to hire a car from Faro and drive to the hotel. We also would like to see some of the beaches along the West coast up to Porto Covo. Although in our 60's we have NO experience of toll roads.
Is it possible to drive from Faro to Alvor avoiding tolls?

Finally how long before arrival should we book a hire car, we intend to visit the Algarve in mid September 2020.

Hello I don't know the area you are travelling to but it is always possible to drive from place to place not using toll roads it just requires a bit of route planning and care to ensure you keep to your route. The toll roads in Portugal use an automated number plate reading system which means you don't have to stop and pay at toll booths. We have found that hire cars from come with a device that records your usage of toll roads and that there is an extra charge for this and the hire company will charge your credit card for any tolls you have incurred about 1 month later, the toll charges are small Note they will require you to provide a credit when you pick up the car. Hope this helps. ALAN
is their a cycle track to the campervan park near ludo trail at the far end of the airport, so I can cycle with my handbike without having to use the major roads

Hi , I was wondering if you can help me. I will be arriving in Faro in and I wanted to spend a few hours there before going to Albuiferia. I was wondering about free shuttle bus from airport to Forum shopping centre. Where in the Airport would I get this and does it have a distinctive colour or number etc.
Also, where is the left luggage area in the Forum.

The airport is max 2 miles from the forum. I doubt there is a shuttle bus.
Sadly I am not sure about luggage either.
Not much help really... have a great holiday though.

Hi, working remotely (solo) in Lisbon for the next 10 days and would like to spend a couple of days in Algarve and possibly Seville. Can any recommend a good itinerary? Seems like in a lot of cases BlaBlaCar is cheaper than trains! Thanks

Ciao, sarò una settimana a Ohlos de Agua e una a Lagos, le due centrali di agosto. Consigli? Cosa non perdere assolutamente? Quali paesini visitare? Ristoranti con belle vedute e buone portate... ringrazio per i consigli.
