Boat trips by sea in easy boarding modern small boats, visiting breathtaking unique Benagil coastline caves, from Carvoeiro, through Benagil up to Praia da Marinha, considered most beautiful beaches in Europe. Only smaller boats can explore the caves at will - the larger boats are too big to enter the caves. Carvoeiro Caves has a fleet of 4 small, modern boats that zip along the coast and can easily be manoeuvered in the caves. All the boats have an easy boarding system making them accessible to the mobility impaired - no wading through waist-high water before clambering aboard. We took the 1 hour tour along the coast which entered a number of caves during the trip. There were several trips leaving at the same time and it was a bit unclear how it was being organised but it was. Easy to board the boat and once we were on the guide was knowledgeable and explained some history as well as the geography of the area. The trip was better than expected and well worth doing.

Benagil Sea Caves - 1 hour tour.
Was unsure if we should have taken the longer tour to Marhina, but the tour to Benagil was perfect, as we visited Marhina on foot earlier in the day (defo recommend).
We took the 1500 trip which was on choppy waters, which added to the excitement, yet we still felt super safe and could still stand up to take photos. (The girls sat at the front of the boat got soaked by a big wave as we boarded from the beach). Top tip - wear short legs.
Our captain and guide (wish I could remember their names) were great, itinerary was delivered with good command of English and with humour.
The caves visited were amazing, a truly great experience.

This experience was totally awesome.
Miguel and João took us to explore some beautiful caves whilst also controlling the boat and making it an extremely fun ride.

Went out today with Daniel and Pablo from Carvoiera Tours. Can't recommend them enough! Highly skilled sailing manoeuvres within small caves, great stories delivered with a sense of humour. We had lots of children onboard and they were amazing with them!

What a great trip for our family whilst on holiday! I pre booked our one hour trip in the UK to ensure we got the time slot we wanted but it’s just as easy to walk up to their hut on Carvoeiro beach and book on the day. They give you the life jacket to put on, give a quick,safety briefing and escort you to the waiting boat. Our guide Joshua was great, giving a running commentary as we passed many things on our way to the beautiful Bengali Cave. This was a must see experience for our trip to Carvoeiro and can highly recommend this great company “carvoeirocaves.com” to do it with.

Our family of 5 took this 90 min tour and shared the boat with 5 other adults. Antonio and Pedro were our guides and were very funny and knowledgeable. The captain, Pedro, was highly skilled at driving the boat weaving in and out of kayaker and tight caves. This was not an easy task! They stopped the boat and whoever wanted to jumped off which was a highlight. The caves are stunning and definitely worth seeing. You really do need to go into the caves so you need to be on a boat small enough to do so. Worth every penny!

A good tour with Carvoerio Caves. Boat was broken so we had to wait for the next tour, but they arranged it very quickly.
Nice captan and good tour, taking you into all the little caves along the way.
I recommend doing this early in your trip so you get a sense of the area.
We did the one hour tour which was enough for me.
The main cave is very busy with lots of kayaks, so probably the least enjoyable of all the stops along the way.

Absolutely brilliant tour of the caves - much better in a smaller boat - we were able to go right into many beautiful caves. The skipper/captain was so skilled at manoeuvring through the gaps - felt completely safe. Our tour guide, Alex, was charming and told us a lot about the caves and the coastline. Would highly recommend Carvoeiro Caves company.

An absolutely fantastic experience. Our ship’s “captain” and “first mate” (Daniel and Antonio) were very welcoming, knowledgeable and entertaining. The caves are a must see and this way of doing so was first rate. I can’t recommend this tour company highly enough.

We arrived at our check-in. No one was there. Tour company next door was as open and running. After waiting around 5-10 minutes from the check-in time, we’re informed that the tour was cancelled because the conditions were not safe. Their boats weren’t even in the water (they were still pulled way up on the beach). If their boats weren’t in the water yet, seems like they had already made the decision to cancel tours. We quickly rebooked with the company next door and had a wonderful tour on this sunny, fairly calm day. Saw a lot of other boats from other tour providers as well. I still am not really sure why the tour was cancelled with no text/call/notice, but we were very happy rebooking with Carvoeiro Tours, just next door.

Guten Tag, es ist nicht unmoeglich aber schwierig. Falls Sie es auf jeden Fall machen moechten am besten emprego em wir die erste Abfahrt vom Strand um 09h00. Wir sind Ihnen gerne bei den zwei Stufen auf und runtersteigen behilflich. Im Boot selber koennen Sie das Bein gestreckt lassen. Nur bei keinem Wellengang wenn das Meer glatt ist.

No, you're not allowed to get off this particular boat at the Banagil cave. But it does go right into the cave and there are plenty of photo opportunities there.

Good evening, we have the following options: (Prices are per person).
1 hour until the famous cave of Benagil (hole in the roof) for EUR 25 or a trip including this one and going a little further for
1 hour and 30 minutes until the beautiful beach caves of Praia da Marinha for EUR 30
Babies up to two years inclusive count as one passenger but travel free of charge.
Children aged between 3 and 10 inclusive pay EUR 15 on the tour to Benagil and EUR 20 on the tour to BENAGIL & MARINHA
Private tours available from 250 EUR onwards, during which you are allowed to swim, enjoying clear bleu waters and the faboulous environment.
All are modern and confortable small 6m boats, taking a maximum of 11 passengers, all have an easy boarding system. All our boats are suitable to visit all the caves deep inside, and as longer the trip is, as more caves you see.

On the power boat tours there is no access to the beach. We did see kayak groups landing on the beach inside the cave but i don’t think the view of the cave or the photo opportunities are significantly better from the beach. While it is theoretically possible to swim to the cave keep in mind that the water along the Algarve coast is quite chilly and most people do not choose to stay in the water long enough to make it to the cave.

Ces jours nous travaillons de lundi a dimanche de 10h30 jusqu'à 18h30 et le meilleur moment est le matin car le soleil est pas si grave et la mer est généralement calme. Les bateaux partent toutes les demi-heures environ. Vous pouvez réserver directement sur notre site. Quand il n'y a pas d'horaire disponible, c'est parce que la mer n'est pas bonne ou que nous sommes déjà complets.

Hallo Helga, auch im Januar finden die Touren statt, wie Herr Tilo schon sagte, abhängig vom Meer und Wetter. Jedoch sind die Touren, jeweils von 10h30 bis circa 15h00-15h15. Die Strecke ist die gleiche und wir gehen in so viele Grotten rein wie möglich. Wir hoffen Sie zu dem Zeitpunkt willkommen zu heissen. Vielen Dank

We are staying in Paderne in August 16-19. How much in advance do we need to book to visit the Benagil caves? Is it easy to find a parking place near your office in the morning? If for some reason we have to cancel, do we get a refund? We ar a family of 4, kids are 12 and 16.
