Impressive geological formations, great for climbing on, kids love it, lovely cool swimming area and a fabulous jump off point into the sea. There a lovely restaurant to grab something to eat or drink too.

Spectacular views and interesting iconic rock formations. Can view from cliff top or climb down to where the sea comes in, the more daring can climb the steps and following the narrow trail above the inlet.

Great service, view and food. We had drinks and took pictures, while waiting for our table. Our young kids loved this place and the food. I'd go back!

A stunning area and the children just loved swimming here. Steep paths to get down but worth it! Only 15-20 minute from the beach at Carveiro. A real natural place to visit, kids said it was their favourite day of the holiday! Worth the walk.

This small pool deserves the small hike to get there, although the water is probably not very inviting due to the rocks and temperature the paths around give some great views to the sea, to some caves around and to the boats passing by who...More

Passageways hewn into the rocks and cliffs. Twisting tunnels and challenging climbs with some stretches not suitable for those with vertigo. A good challenging walk that the kids will enjoy. Look out for the local fishermen that literally take their lives in their hands by...More

The boardwalk at Algar Seco is free and there are clifftop walks beyond the Boneca bar. The walk down the hill into Carvoeiro has lovely sea views all the way - but it is a steep walk back! While in Carvoeiro, it is worth... More

Yes Ferraguda is worth a visit. There a regular water taxi from there to Portsmouth. Just 10 minutes travel but we'll worth it. Benajil is also close by with a huge cave you can explore

There are concrete steps! For 8 years, is ok, just be carefull with him when down by the sea, can be slippery! Please note there are few good steps, definetly when you coming back:) but is worth the efort!!!enjoy!!
