We had a really excellent tour and tasting at this beautiful and historic winery close to Estremoz. Our guide Ana spoke great English and gave us a fascinating insight in to both the history of Cartuxa and the wines. After the tour we enjoyed a great tasting of both a selection of their wines and also the range of olive... More

We visited here for a glass of wine before dinner. We tried two glasses of white and one glass of red, all delicious. Staff were helpful and pleasant

Taxi there no problem (5euros from giraldo). Very slick promo video for foundation. Talk was more aimed at selling the wine than information about making. I don't think she really knew much about that side of things. We paid for a three wine tasting. One was purple paint stripper that would have horrified your dentist. A white that tasted like... It is always a pleasure to visit Cartuxa winery! Both Ana and Eunice are the perfect hosts! This time I went there with some catalan friends, my girlfriend and my father. Ana showed us the ancient wine cellar, explaining all the production process of this precious 'nectar'. At the end Ana presented the olive oils and wines selected for our... More

We spent almost two hours in an winey tour in Cartucha. Cristina was very helpful explaining everything about the Eugenio Almeida Foundation and the wines: Cartucha, EA and Pera-Manca.

the guided tour of this old winery was very informative and I was surprised to hear of the state-of-the-art equipment they have in their new modern winery; the wine and olive tasting was very nice and I will look for their importer in Belgium

Nice winery visit. Very close to the city of Evora and so very easy to visit. They offer different kinds of visit. We took the 10 euros visit, which includes tasting of 3 different wines. We were a small group of six people. The visit takes around 20 minutes and as many others winery visits it gives you an overview... More

They ruined mothersday......wasted 40km trying to find the place and the address on trip advisor is not of the shop but the quinta which we couldn't find. Lack of communication on their side and no remorse afterwards.
