Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stunning little beach with rock pools and crystal clear waters made for a magical few hours on our recent trip to Galway.

Wanted to go to the beach on a lovely sunny day in May so took a trip here (I was staying in Galway). It was lovely and the sand is really made up of broken coral - but its not sharp! Has a lovely pink tinge to it but you can't really see it on the photos. Lovely beach, free parking (not a large carpark though) and a public toilet (clean and free to use).
Go and see for yourself!

Really interesting coral beach. We meet a guy who has been sailing on a board, though the day wasn’t windy enough for him. Really peaceful spot. Go check it out.

As it was February, and the sun was shining, we took advantage and drove out along the coast into Connemara, until we came upon Coral Strand, a beautiful beach, with amazing views, in the summer it must get busy, but there were just a few families on the beach, in the bracing gusts coming across the bay. Well worth a visit.

One of the many Wild Atlantic Way locations this slice of paradise was amazing. The beach itself is made of small pieces of coral, beautiful and amazing to scoop up a handful of smooth coral. The sunset from here was also extremely breath taking. I've no doubt I'll be back here again. Couldn't recommend this spot more! It's something special to say the least.

The strand is hard to find, but well worth the effort. It is unspoilt, and has the clearest water in Ireland. Because of the coral swimming shoes or sliders will enhance the experience because the coral is sharp. Unforgettable beauty and tranquility. There are public toilets on site.

This is a gorgeous little beach with crystal clear water that is perfect for swimming in during the summer months. The 'sand' is not sand at all but millions of fragments of bleached coral-like creatures, hence the name.

There is car parking near the beach and there are also toilets.

It takes a while to get here but it’s well worth it. The stand is a beautiful landscape of swirling sea and gentle rocky coast. The tiny cottages dotted about the landscape only add to its mystique. We were walking the area, on a very blustery day and got to see this countryside in all its glory.
