There was so much to see here and of course there was a gift shop and cafe too. We spent just over an hour but you could spend longer. There is a system in place where you log in on arrival and when you log in to displays then your own language is high lighted. Good place to take children... More

The museum is actually a casual collection of art that has been collected by the social welfare office through the ages. You will see splendid late medieval paintings that deserve to be shared with a wider audience. Some Enlightenment period paintings, as well as old furniture and religious artefacts are on display. I was fortunate to discover the Museum Godshuis Belle on my very first visit to Ypres, and it is now the first place that I seek out whenever I return. Conveniently located within less than five minutes walk of the Grote Markt, with a modest admission fee and no additional charge for photography (flash not permitted), this museum/art gallery houses... More

Having visited Flanders museum we were given a leaflet which allowed us free entry to this museum, well worth a visit. A very beautiful little chapel which contained lots of art and interesting furniture, stunning to look at, we spent a good hour looking round.
