The best view of Ypres ,but beware if you don't like heights. Puts the whole Battle field experience into context, with the added bonus of seeing a Town beautifully restored and cared for. Worth the climb, but not ideal for those with significant health issues

An interesting visit to the top of the Cloth Hall Belfry. It's a bit of a climb but well worth it for the views.

Ascended in two stages with no passing places on the spiral staircase. One spiral goes up and another comes down. Highest point in the area, there are views in every direction.

Amazing place to get a great view of the town and great architecture too. When the bell rings, it's too loud so you need to protect your ears.

I think the only way to visit and climb the Belfry is by entering the In Flanders Fields Museum for an extra 2 euros. At the top there's amazing views of St Martins Cathedral and St Peters Church in the distance. There's over 230 steps...More

You have to tell the ticketing office that you wish to visit the belfry too, otherwise your band will not let you through the turnstile. There are a lot of steps but should be ok for most fit people.

Well worth a visit but do bear in mind the stone spiral staircase up can be quite claustrophobic. At the belfry we arrived just in time for the chimes and they provide ear defenders for a reason. After walking the remaining way to the top...More

Great views out in all directions with boards explaining the views. I found them difficult to follow. We stopped to hear the carillon at 3pm ..
