One of the old gate houses guarding the city it is well preserved but not very well presented. With a little more thought; updated information boards etc. this could be so much more interesting.

Ezelpoort Donkeys Gate part of the ramparts and defense fortifications of the 13th century on the outskirts of Brugges. Worth the hike to see as it is a historic hateway to the city.

An Interesting building, but not a destination in itself. Check it out if you happen to go past, else skip it.

All of the gates are a little bit out of the way. Some of them are hard to drive to because of the one way streets, but worth visiting.

Maybe cycle around Bruges and cross this gate, but not worth walking all the way to see it. Very average architecture.

It’s a bit out of the way through some quite unattractive streets but this beautiful fairytale gate to the old town was just about worth it.

More of a landmark than a visitor attraction. If you decide to have a long walk around parts of Bruges on the perimeter of town, you will come across a number of these historic gates. Nice to photo and admire the buildings and scenery,

There are a number of gates to the city and each looks similar. This gate is one of the nicer ones. Unfortunately, other than walking it and taking a few photos, there's not much to it. It's about a 10 minutes walk from the historic...More

City gate to enter the city and located on Ezelpoort road, on the outskirts of Bruges. This really is out of the historic centre and donkeys gate is a nice building but a long way to go for a photo. Hire a bike.
