Busy on a Saturday morning

As the day progressed the crows lessened but it was very hard to get around first thing in the morning. It is a must see

One of the most stunningly beautiful square in Europe, worth travelling from anywhere just to enjoy its majestic and intimate beauty. Do not miss it if in Belgium!

Worth checking out the Markt, all of Bruges has fantastic architecture and so much to see. Walking all over is a great idea.

This is one of the most beautiful cities we have visited. It is also one that survived the wars of WWI and WWII as well as the Napolianic wars. The city is alive and the marketplace is widespread. A shoppers paradise esp. if you like chocolate and lace. Take a canal boat ride and see the city markets from below... More

We went there on a Wednesday. Great farmer's market. Everything you need for a great lunch or light dinner. Bread, cheese, meat, fruit, sausages (cooked, wraugh, dry). No sure how often they have this but I hope it is everyday because we would like to to again during our visit

We were lucky to be in Brughe on market day to indulge in Belgian produce in a very cheap way. The scenery is so romantic. There are 2 chipperies where you can buy authentic Belgian mayonaise with chips for 3 euros. Hearing the bells, the buzz, the beautiful buildings, the smell of chips, surrounded by chocolate shops... it is truly... More

We liked mini bus tour, a 50 minute overview of this city, as well as the many restaurants both plain and fancy. To top off a meal there are dozens of small chocolate shops all around.

We walked here from the train station. It was a 15 minute walk. Beautiful square, beautiful architecture and plenty of shops

The place for known shops and many cafes. Candy shops are the best there, you cannot skip one. Clean place, touristic and crowded anytime of the day. Lots.of chocolate stores.

Unhappily, I visited the Markt in Bruges on Good Friday, and the place was mobbed, mostly with people like me, day trippers (I know they were all day trippers, because we all got off the train together and hardly anybody had luggage). The line to go up the Belfry was down the stairs, across the courtyard, and out into the... More
