Bruges' City Hall (1376) is one of the oldest in the Low Countries. It is from here that the city has been governed for more than 600 years. An absolute masterpiece is the Gothic Hall, with its late 19th-century murals and polychrome vault. The adjoining historic hall calls up the city council's history with a number of authentic documents and works of art. A multimedia exhibition on the ground floor illustrates the evolution of the Burg Square.

The facade of the city hall is by itself an attraction with all the statues and nice architecture. For a small fee you should go and visit this marvollous building, and for sure you will find treasures!

Yes the hall is impressive but after a few mins you are looking for something else. There is a room off to the side with some historic displays. But that's it, 8 euro for the two of us and you are left thinking might have...More

Spent an hour reading about this awesome place and on the last morning which happened to be the most rubbish weather. It’s not for kids but the paintings are pretty amazing.

Didn't do a lot for me. Staff were the least friendly people we met in Bruges. OK to visit as part of the museum pass, probably not worth paying for. Some interesting maps. I'd skip it in favour of the Liberty of Bruges next door...More

The areas within the hall that you can see are limited to two rooms - a beautiful grand hall that makes the visit absolutely worth it and a small exhibition that I found a bit confusing, but did at least learn a bit about the...More

The building is remarkable on the outside but the big hall on the first floor is something else. We spend 30 minutes just exploring it and it is magnificent.

Only really one room to see but it is very beautiful inside and wonderfully decorated. It is a must see particularly on a rainy day in Bruges

This is a short attraction to tick off the list as its really only 1 room to view. But a fabulous room it is.

This is a beautiful building in the fascinating old centre of Bruges. The outside and inside both have ornate and interesting architecture, although I did find the entrance fee a little much for what we experienced inside.
