Just off a main street, do stop for a photo. It's an archetypal almshouse with a pretty garden; the exterior wall has been lowered, so you can see it all from the street.

Almshouses were built by wealthy people in the 14th century to house poor elderly people and many are still in use today. Many visit the whitewashed buildings with pretty gardens. Great photo opportunity.

We really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful place. The small museum was fascinating. It is out of the way and took a little finding.

just a pity it is not maintained well. An oasis in the centre of the town ! every year it gets a little worse, such a pity. You can,t even sit down anymore cause the bench is halved....

It was beautiful and so peaceful. I went a couple of times, just walking around. I enjoyed the bridge coming up and over into the area, and the river that was so close. It made the whole area nice.
