You have to enter the church at the side because the front entry is used for book markets and so. Inside you can see alot of nice old statues, paintings, signs of the "gilden",... Theres a small... Although starting out as a Gothic church, it somehow took five centuries to be completed. Its glory is its Baroque altar which is its main feature. Apart from that, there is nothing particularly remarkable about the church but with free entry it is well worth spending up to half an hour

No outstanding features but very nice. Currently has and exhibition about Mother Teresa of Calcutta but it is all in Flemish. Pleasant for a break from the bustle outside

Did you ever wonder why Saint Nicholas holds his 3 fingers "up"? Go to the Saint Nicholas church and you will see the sculpture as well as some paintings of him with the 3 children who went for a walk, got lost, knocked on the door of the butcher who let them in for the night, killed them and cut... This is an attraction not to be missed as it has an amazing cathedral type look on the outside with it's vast fascias and coloured windows and an even more amazing clean cut contempory look with a beautiful alter and a very destinctive and decorative interior.

I went to this place with a friend of mine and it was glorious. we went rather on a sunny day after the city tour. Once you are on top of the tower, its a gorgeous view, and the church has a lot of history. It was indeed a great experience.

Good place for meditation. When I got there, the pipe organ was being played and for me it's quite terrifying so I didn't stay too long inside.

The church was being renovated when we were there, so only a portion of the inside could be seen. It was worth it anyway, it's a very beautiful church. The exterior is stunning too, specially the nave.
