Was originally a fabric warehouse, a very posh one! The architect was asked to provide good daylight which he did. A interesting and different place to visit, didn't realise that Belgium has such a "comic" history.

An amazing combination of the brilliant Horta's Art Nouveau architecture and the story of the modern art of comics which gives a new life of the old building. There is something for everybody there - comics, architecture, a nice museum shop with a rich choice of items and a traditional brasserie in a unique ambience. Enjoy!

Did you know Smurfs are Belgian? Did you know they were not originally the lead of the Comic they first appeared in? If not, here's where you can learn more! An interesting showcase of not just Belgian Comic history but also educational journey of how comics come to live from concept, to pencil draft to colouring and final print, and... More

We didn't expect the museum to be this big, informative and interactive! We spent almost 4 hours in the museum and had a great time. Definitely worth the visit.

If you are interested in comic books this is a must visit for anyone else it's very easy to take or leave, there was a nice feature on The Smurfs and TinTin but other then that there was nothing stunning to see. Also it's not an overly cheap attraction either.

The Belgian Centre of Comic Strip Art is located in a fantastic, renovated 1900 warehouse (in which I did guided tours when not yet renovated!). You will admire as well the Art Nouveau architecture of the famous Victor Horta, as the original works of our best comic strip artists. A great family trip.

The building was designed by Victor Horta. Cloth and fabrics were sold for more than 70 years in this semi-industrial building. Luckily, the building didn't disappear after the shop closed in 1970. In 1989, the new Belgian Comic Strip Center gave a new life to this fantastic building. For comic strip lovers as well as for architecture lovers and art... More

The Belgian Centre for Comic Strip art is quite a small building albeit crammed with comic art and 'roughs'. If you are really interested in the mechanics of producing a comic then this could well be for you, if your interest is more mainstream and basic then probably not. Not surprisingly Tintin and the Smurfs are evident. The gift shop... More

This museum has a vast collection os comic strip art, showing how it is done, and its many techniques with some real examples. Really loved it. As a fan of Tintin, this became even more interesting with an Hergé section. There is also a nice Peyo section.
