A nice small brewery with tasty beer for lambic / sour beer fans! Only had time to try one beer (gueuze) before catching my train, but another traveler told me the self-guided tour was worth it! The only qualm I have is that the older...More

You probably already know the beer is some of the best in the world so I won't go into too much detail. There is a small bar to order glasses or bottles for consumption on site. There are relatively few tables so get there early...More

It was really fascinating learning about a different (original) way of making lambic beer. I love how authentic the place was, no front of house tour guides no museum pieces, everyone who you interact with works there primarily to make beer and sell beer. All...More

I booked my first ever trip to Brussels and, as a craft beer lover, one key reason was so that I could visit the Cantillon Brewery. I had high expectations that were needlessly dashed, which meant that I had one drink and left. I was...More

If you are a fan of Belgian beers, and Lambic in particular, this place is a must. The tour is self guided but that is ok, then you get to do it at your own pace. The best part is of course the sampling of...More

My wife and I visited Cantillon on our trip to Brussels. It was one of the highlights, really. The beer, particularly the Lou Pepe varieties, are phenomenal. Be aware, these are sour beers. So if sour and fruity aren't your thing, then keep on moving....More

Not a conventional brewery visit. The tour itself is self-guided with a pamphlet, but it's almost better that way, as you just get to absorb the atmosphere in a 100+ year old brewery, and all of it's quirks and charm. Jean-Pierre Van Roy himself gave...More

Stumbled upon this after realizing our love for kriek and other sour beers whilst visiting Brussels. We visited on the morning of our departure, met by friendly staff who welcomed us and directed us to the next English tour. The tour guide was funny, expressive...More

Yay: One of the very few places in the world doing spontaneous fermentation so it was cool to see their craft and taste some really different beers and true fruit beers made with actual fruit and not syrup (therefore complex and not cloying sweet). Personally...More

It's not the sort of neighbourhood where you would want to leave your rental car behind, even if you can find a parking spot. Try going by train. It's only a short walk from Brussels South station.
