REAL hot chocolate

This is a great place to go for all sorts of wonderful chocolate based drinks and treats. They have a range of hot and cold drinks and of course their great chocolates. The style is most like a cafe with both indoor and out door seating and located very close to the Museum of Musical Instruments. You can opt for... More

Laurent Gerbaud sets the bar very high! For me the best quality chocolate in all of Belgium. When you bite into one of these chocolates you only taste the chocolate, not sugar or artificial flavorings, just pure chocolate. Exquisite, divine. The chocolate is sourced from all over the world and labeled by origin. We also enjoy the delicious hot chocolates... More

We went here for a team-building event with colleagues from abroad and loved every minute of it! For 26€/pp we got to make our own chocolate, learn about the chocolate making process and taste some seriously amazing varieties as well. Their chocolate is top notch, you can tell these are professionals that are dedicated to the highest quality standards and... More

For those seeking chocolate made not only with high-quality ingredients (and without additives, preservatives, excessive sugar, and so on) but also with originality, flair, uniqueness, and passion, a trip to Laurent Gerbaud's is mandatory. The staff and he himself are welcoming, helpful, instructive, and without pretensions. They also offer informative suggestions on chocolate and local beer pairings. The latter is... More

Having just seen the then Chagall exhibition in the nearby museum, we stopped here and treated ourselves to a cup of Chocolat Chaud. It is a treat to start with, but here they make it even more so by letting letting chose a little"praline", the ultimate belgian accompaniment to anyone's coffee or hot chocolate. Lovely service, and obviously delicious chocolates... More

I visited the establishment on a colleagues' recommendation but was totally disappointed. I tried a selection of ganaches and, honestly, you can find better chocolate in supermarkets.

I have just sampled my way through Paris and Brussels and Laurent Gerbaud ticks all the boxes for me (the website states all the things that are not in the chocolate!) What is a bit... More
