This building was the first one I saw when I got out of the Station (took the Tram from Brussels Midi Station to the historic center). It was closed when I arrived so I was not sure if it is accessible to tourist or not....More
This elegant architectural structure was built in the 19th century. Housing the stock exchange, currently closed awaiting its new tenants. Now a favourite meeting place for locals on the steps.

The bourse is the metro stop gateway signposting you are at the centre..It is not the centre of Brussels, it is just the building that everyone knows on the middle of the very big boulevard. Directly behind it is the grand place and historic centre....More
When passing the Bourse, you should remember to check out the underground ruing that can be seen from the street level!
