A walk around the square is interesting and most of the building cleaned up and pretty. Lots of them are covered in gold leaf. There are chocolate shops and a museum in the square

Square with beautiful architecture. Great lights at night and always busy. Unfortunately, like all touristic place, most of restaurants around abuse of the situation. Streets close to the square are dirty and full of souvenir shops. Reason why 3 instead of 4.

Very impressive square, with nice Christmas tree and wonderful show of lights during evenings. Very nice buildings.

Just worth the journey. If you see nothing else already this place made it with the while. Def try to see at night as well as it is beautifully lit.

Not sure about other times of year, but at Christmas this square comes alive. Large square with fabulous buildings all round, town hall on one side and the the museum opposite all come alive at night in a light and music show. Along with a huge Christmas tree and manger in the centre, it really kicks off the festive celebrations... More

This is a great place to stroll around and sample some of the local offerings. Grab a beer at one of the bars at the top of bottom of the square and enjoy the outdoor terraces. Chocolate shops on or near the square stay open later than elsewhere in the city. Tourist souvenir shops are everywhere.

We really liked this large open space. It was decorated for Christmas during our visit, with a large tree in the center. The building were lit up. There is a Starbucks and a few chocolate shops nearby, but in the end it's just a great place to people watch and admire the architecture.

A must see if you visit Belgium. A beautiful area with stunning buildings. Horses and carriages available to ride. A busy place with lots of activity. Plenty of shops around and Belgian waffles are definitely worth trying.

Yes, city center of Brussel. Were you can shop, wonder avond, enjoy a lot of things to do. December time, is extra fun; in this place is a live day and night.

One of the most beautiful squares I've ever seen. Plan to visit it at least twice: in the daylight and in the dark - two different feeling of the same place.
