this interesting and long existing toy museum is a must see to learn about the history of toys in the 20th and 19th century, but also Lego and other toys are displayed and explained. there is a tea room and access is ok, but no parking. the area is busy to get to and the building is rather unattractive. It... More

We loved it. Altough it seems quite shabby from outside our 5&7 years old enjoyed it . We went on Sunday and it was not that busy . Very helpful stuff . It is also interesting for adults :)

I expected a museum similar to the toy museum in Oosterhout (NL), which I liked a lot. But this collection was far broader, and it more fully covered the history of toys and games. Especially the collection of doll houses is elaborate and presented according to historical progress. Many more modern games such as Barbie and the technical toys of... More

Spread out over several levels and accessible with wheelchairs. A walking tour along the multitude of displays provides a return to our youth. You will find yourself exclaiming: "I had that toy." and then sadly remembering you broke it or your parents tossed it. This is a great venue to relive your childhood memories of good days playing with toys.... More

Visited the museum on a Monday at about 3pm when it was very quiet. So much to see! It seems strange to see things that I used as a child in a museum, eg Sega megadrive! There was a really fun part with teddy bears that move around to music.

I visited the museum with my 3 year old. She was pretty entertained throughout. Large collection of toys but the decor is getting dated. More hands-on fun would be great.

I must admit that this review is from waaaaay back but I distinctly remember this place as a great museum that gives you the opportunity to look back at how toys have evolved over time. It is a great way to teach children about history while still having a connection with their world.

visited this on Tuesday the 5th January. very good museum, particularly impressed with the model railways. possibly could do with a little more interactivity. Nevertheless very much worth the nearly 3 hours spent on the visit. good coffee in the cafeteria.

This place is for all ages. A complete history of toys. There is so much to experience and learn. One of the coolest places I've been, and I have been all over the world! Note: the entrance before the museum is very dusty and damp smelling. Inside the museum, after you pay, is not.
