During my walk from Central Station to the Grote Market, I used it as my reference point. Located towards the end of Meir Street, I turned right near this building. It is a tall building, so it is a perfect reference point! Tourist attractions of...More

I can understand why some reviewers hate this building on the basis that it hardly fits into the cityscape around it. But consider it as a building in its own right and it's an outstanding example of 1920s/30s architecture. It also speaks volumes for the...More

Not nice and almost able to ruin this amazing city. So sad they had the wrong idea to build it. Just out of the style of the city and absolutely brutal. I did not like it at all.

One of the highest building in Anvers.Nothing special at it,it looks like an american skyscraper from the '50.Placed on the main commercial streets of the town,Meir so you can't miss it.

This building is at one end of the main shopping street (the Meir). I found it to be really impressive. The colour and the style, together with the iconic statues above the entrance. Sadly, it's difficult to find a decent place to take a good...More

Hard to believe that the first skycraper built in Europe was built here not in Paris or Losndon. But here it is a marvel from 1932. Very austere and somewhat like a miniature NYC Empire State Bldg. you can ask and they may let you...More

No matter where you are in the city center you can see this monstrosity. It has no redeeming qualities. I guess the challenge of my review is to see if you disagree? It's an easy challenge to take, because if you're in Antwerp you can't...More

Out of train station proceeding toward the old town it's almost impossible to avoid this. Actually it is one of the worst building of the city. This tall skyscraper it's not going to have any sense artistically, just tons of concrete. Looks like it ruins...More
