Not nice and almost able to ruin this amazing city. So sad they had the wrong idea to build it. Just out of the style of the city and absolutely brutal. I did not like it at all.

It looks like a miniaturized Empire State building. From the look of it it is the highest building in Antwerp. Not sure if it can be visited inside, the guy that at the entrance didn't look like the compromising type. It is very close to the cathedral and also the central square. Use it also as a reference point in... More

This building is at one end of the main shopping street (the Meir). I found it to be really impressive. The colour and the style, together with the iconic statues above the entrance. Sadly, it's difficult to find a decent place to take a good photograph. Even so, I'm pleased I went to see this. I had no idea until... More

Hard to believe that the first skycraper built in Europe was built here not in Paris or Losndon. But here it is a marvel from 1932. Very austere and somewhat like a miniature NYC Empire State Bldg. you can ask and they may let you in but just looking at the outside, the decorations and statues built into the cascade... More

No matter where you are in the city center you can see this monstrosity. It has no redeeming qualities. I guess the challenge of my review is to see if you disagree? It's an easy challenge to take, because if you're in Antwerp you can't not see the KBC tower...

Out of train station proceeding toward the old town it's almost impossible to avoid this. Actually it is one of the worst building of the city. This tall skyscraper it's not going to have any sense artistically, just tons of concrete. Looks like it ruins the harmony of the splendid gothic style buildings just around the corner which is the... More

Not pretty but do take a look at some of the detail, from afar ugly from close up still ugly but some redeeming features. Please don't just pass by it won't take long to look a bit deeper.

The first skyscraper in Europe (95.8m) in Art-deco style. Constructed beteen 1923 and 1932. The tallest building in Antwerp.
