Well, it's kinda special and unique taking the old elevator or the stairs down, and biking or walking through this tunnel. And very refreshing on a hot day!

Rent a bike or walk to the other side of the Schelde. Great views and photo opportunities of Antwerp from the left bank.

Wow - built under the river and around 500 metres in length. There is an old wooden escalator which is very steep (so beware if you haven't a head for heights). There is also a lift which is used in the main by cyclists and...More

Tunnel under the river. Useful to cross. Interesting history but not really worth the visit. See it more as a nostalgic remnant of an old passage under the water.

Long tunnel to go through, well maintained with old elevator! It seems to be a regular way to go by foot, bike, skate etc.... Nice to see!

Easy ten minute pedestrian walk or bike way connecting old city centre with east side of town. There you'll find the best skyline view of Antwerp. Must see for lovers of the 1930's and photographers.
