The Louwman Museum is home to the world's oldest private collection of motor cars, compiled by two generations of the Louwman family. The museum dates back to 1934 and now comprises over two hundred and fifty antique and classic motor cars. Experts regard the collection as one of the most beautiful in the World. The museum exudes passion. Each car has its own story to tell, its own contribution to history. The motor car is a mirror of culture.

The collection is housed in a purpose-built museum in The Hague, the city where P.W. Louwman established his Dodge and Chrysler import company. The building, designed by American architect Michael Graves, blends in sympathetically with its historic surroundings. The landscape gardens, designed by Lodewijk Baljon, complement the architecture of the building.

This is an amazing museum. Adequate for car and history buffs alike. Covers the history of the car with examples of many early types and approaches including early electric models. I have visited twice and will go back.

Good venue for a conference dinner or cocktail party (how I've visited twice this year) but certainly also a great day out. The only original Toyota in the world is here and cars from every age.

Wow what a great collection of cars have they got here! The history of car making with some of the most beautiful examples of the world. Take your time going here as you will have a lot to see and it would be a shame to rush it. You will walk with the timeline of car makers to end up... More

This is a place for car lovers. I can't say that I am one, but I still had a very nice time of it. It was cool to see some really, really old cars or some cars that are amazingly rare. In fact, looking back, it's crazy just thinking about the sheer number of vehicles in this building... it's quite... More

Now I am no car buff, but this museum has the most eclectic and wide range of motor vehicles I have ever seen in any one place. We could have spent all day there, which is something I never thought I would say about a car museum. All the displays are professionally laid out, and you can appreciate the care... More

An amazing collection of historical vehicles and beautiful sports cars. The size and variety of the collection is incredible. We spent several hours wandering around the halls.

This is a great museum with an amazing collection of cars (old, new, big, small, from movies etc) - you`ll love it even if you`re not crazy about cars.Definitely worth a visit and the park around the museum is lovely to wander around when the weather is good.

I attended a conference at the museum and after it ended, I made a little time to wander through the exhibits. I am not much of a car fanatic but it is such an interesting collection and presented so well that I was pleased I had not missed it. The building is almost as special as the car collection and... Visited as part of European motorhome tour. Parking was easy, a few cobbles to traverse with the wheelchair to reach the entrance, and then - motoring heaven! A fantastic collection from the start of the motor car, with many, many highlights along the way. A wonderful building houses the collection, and a great old fashioned street diorama is used for... Place is quite far, but easy to spot even I went by bus. Learned a lot from that museum about car history. It's definitely worth to spend couple hours there if you like cars. Many cars are very rare. It's quite far from other attractions, but definitely worth to visit.
