The Kunsthal Rotterdam is one of the leading cultural institutions in the Netherlands. With over twenty exhibitions a year, the Kunsthal offers a programme that is dynamic and always surprising. The Kunsthal is continuously transforming, and with its regularly changing exhibitions able to offer crossovers between various art disciplines. From modern masters and contemporary art to forgotten cultures, photography, fashion and design. The Kunsthal's exhibition programme gives it its national scope and international allure. In its iconic building designed by Rem Koolhaas, the Kunsthal stands for three core values: art, culture and society. The Kunsthal is not a museum, nor does it wish to be. Not having its own collection gives the Kunsthal absolute freedom, and making optimum use of that freedom is where its strength lies. With a small team, a wide range of exhibitions and activities are realised with a high turnover rate for a diverse audience. This is what makes the Kunsthal different from other institutions in the museum sector.

We spent an hour at this exhibition and it was excellent. Prior to this we had lunch in the café/restaurant. The female waitress with the short hair was charming with a good sense of humour and perfect English. The lunch was exactly what we wanted....More

We didn't like the two other exhibitions at all, but the main one was superbly done, and very complete

We went to this museum in the assumption that they display art.... nothing is further from the truth. Every exhibition was a complete let down. The worst museum I visited in a very long while

This gallery space is large with a lot going on. It is set in lovely park grounds where we stopped for a picnic. The gallery had a good range of shows on including photography, painting and sculpture. Unfortunately we found it very difficult to tell...More

The Kunsthal has different exhibitions throughout the year. You pay one admittance for all exhibitions. For example hyper-realistic paintings, beautiful pictures made by famous photographers. I visit the Kunsthal as a local several times a year. Each time very surprising. A must see when you...More

Been here a couple of times and there is always a good exhibition whenever I go. This museum often shows work of superb photographers or has an exhibition with a theme. Such as Dinosaurs / James Bond / Fashion. Current exhibitions include the work of...More

The Kunsthal is an interesting place to check out. Not your regular kind of museum and I recommend you do check online what they have on display, as they tend to have more niche displays as well

if you are the slightest interested in art, old or new, get going for the Kunsthal. its in the very epicentrum of many museums and right now you can see a great exhibition with Superealismus from the 70-is and until today. stunning in all aspects.

Still one of Rotterdam's foremost (modern) art exhibition spaces. We visited on a working day and the exhibition was remarkably quiet - so different from for example London exhibitions... All in all making for a relaxed visit.
