This neighborhood, once a very important harbor area, was in the last years transformed into a social, cultural and architectural hotspot. Lots of modern buildings, most of them office buildings, a new (and equally modern) theater, the emblematic Hotel New York and the national photo...More

Kop van Zuid is a cool neighborhood. Great place for a stroll. Lots to see and do, well worth a visit

A thriving district of Rotterdam, where old factory and new buildings coexist. You can find commercial buildings, business hotels and old corners that remind New York. You can "visit" it if you go from Erasmus Bridge to Fenix Food Factory.

London has its Docklands with Canary Wharf and Rotterdam has its "Kop van Zuid". Although it seems a bit arrogant to compare Rotterdam with London, both areas, Docklands and "Kop van Zuid", are city redevelopments on abandoned and derelict harbour areas. Conceived almost 30 years...More

The Kop van Zuid has a perfect view of the tall buildings and Erasmus Bridge as well as the water. Definitely a perfect viewpoint.

It's perhaps the best spot in the whole city to get a feel for it. The NY hotel is disappointing though: they just put too much cheap ugly stuff in it.

Don't forget to visit the 'Kop van Zuid' when you are in Rotterdam. This area has a collection of tall modern buildings, ones is different than the others, also the Erasmus bridge. This is the skyline of Rotterdam. The parking ticket is pricy, € 4.00...More

Enjoy the river. This is a very nice area when the weather is sunny! Nice restaurants and bars at Deli square.

Brrr, just avoid this area. Not a lively part of this city, no trees, no people in the streets. At first I thought this could be a hot part of the city but now, 8 years later, I understand that this will never happen.

This is a nice modern area in Rotterdam close to the Erasmus Bridge. There are many restaurants and also a theatre and cinema. Some of the buildings are unique especially De Rotterdam. Well worth an hour or two.
