The same cubic houses seen in magazines, Google images and school books, appear to be really strange but fascinating. Visitable for 3€ I just saw the pics taken some days before by my friends. Really impressive

Visit the Kijk-Kubus museum house

The Kubus houses are obviously one of the most photographed pieces of architecture in Rotterdam. Even better is that there's one of them that you can go into and see what it's really like to live in one inside. Entry only 3 euros

We were happily surprised with this adorable little excursion. The houses are amazing to look at and we went in the museum, which was eye opening! Also a bargain for €3.

Unique little box houses that shouldn't work on the inside but they do!

While the 'tour' is a little lacking (you pay at the door and walk around on your own with no signage or story), the interior works for itself in showing a quirky one-bed flat with a glorious sun trap at the top. It could do with a personal story about who might live there, but it's a unique little place to pop in for a nosy.

A short and excellent visit I always wanted to do and now as a result of the lesser amount of tourists easy accessible. No queues. Of course, it is only doable for adults and children not needing support, i.e. wheelchair, buggy.
Piet Blom has really created something fabulous here.

Over the bridge is the old harbour don’t miss it.

New market hall is amazing and over this lovely bridge is old harbour with a few bars and restaurant.

It’s a lovely glimps into Rotterdam’s past.

Felt such a nice welcome to Rotterdam as these houses greeted me as I exited the station. They felt so gezellig to see and gave me a feeling of warmth and happiness

The cubic houses which cannot be found elsewhere are iconic images of the city. Although visitors have no chance to take a look inside the houses, photo-taking of the outside is still nice.

While this may not be the most practical design for a home, it's worth a visit as it challenges the was we think about buildings and structures. It was interesting to see how the furniture had been designed to fit the space. The view from the top is nice and you can see the Markthal. May not be suitable for people who are less mobile, as the stairs and passages are steep and narrow.

Would you really want to live there?

Seems a very strange concept to live in a cube that sits on one of its corners. Nevertheless the houses seem to be quite efficient despite their appearance of wasting valuable space.
