This covered bridge was the home of many markets over the years. Now it is a peaceful place to sit, watch people, and just enjoy the beauty of the canal. It is working bridge and full of flowers and people!

it is very good place to visit with lots things to enjoy; it is kind of all in one packet: historic building such as city hall, the life of canaling in new rhine, market, and lots cafes to just seat and relax.

An old 17th century bridge with a 19th century roof to protect the merchandise (corn) and nowadays your head and body when it is raining. Splendid views over Nieuwe Rijn canals and city hall.

We enjoyed our walk around the centre of Leiden on a sunny day.The graceful pilars of this bridge make for a nice spot in the shade or a spot to hide from the rain for a moment.
