Sad place
Oct 2019 • Couples
There are many other parks in The Netherlands worth a visit. This one has nothing special, it is kind of sad.

Good for walking and cycling
Jun 2019
Goudse Hout is a pleasant (polder) park area 3 km northeast of the markt in Gouda, just north of Gouda Goverwelle railwaystation. It is 83 ha in size and very good for walking or cycling through. The park, dating from the 1980s, was part of the old Willens polder, the bigger part of which is now residential area Goverwelle.

Further to the north are the 'Reeuwijkse plassen' where there is more open water and where are also more options for cycling along the lanes that link the villas to the land.

Swimming, biking , walking and food all in the same area
Jul 2018 • Family
If you are staying in the are of Rotterdam or Utrecht this area is the place where you have to spent a day, there is a small beach if you want to go for a swim , you can also go for surfing or diving. Great place to start a walk around the one on the lakes or to hire a bike and make a nice tour into the green heart of Holland. You can close the day with a nice diner at the water. You can rent bikes and boats or canoe at the Landal bungalow park. Bonus , there is plenty of parking space

Goudse Hout is a small area between Gouda and Reewijk’s lakes. Prepare to see a lot of birds, especially water fowl. We loved seeing a kingfisher! The grebe that caught a big fish was quite a sight as well.
Gouda is one of the lowest parts of Holland, way below sealevel - so you’re actually wondering through a swamp.

Bit of nature in the city
Jul 2016 • Family
Great for walking around when the weather's good - it feels like you're out of the city for a while. Plenty of paths for bikes and hikers. Very suitable for runners, too, I run here often.

Nature
Aug 2015 • Couples
One of the nicest places in Gouda. Of course this is for nature lovers only but to ride a bike or just a walk is a real pleasure.

(Gouda Woods) If you want a taste of nature in Gouda, stroll here
Jun 2015 • Friends
This is Gouda's larger park on the northeast edge of town (heading toward Reeuwijk). It's an expanse of 100+ acres, criss-crossed with walking and biking trails which take you over and along little canals, through open fields of wild flowers, and under leafy swaths of forest. Like the rest of Holland, this is flat, green, somewhat manicured and largely unadorned. It's the place to go if you want to be surrounded by trees, flowers, birds and open sky. Expect to see geese, ducks, and locals walking their dogs, but don't expect to be crowded or worry about getting lost (it's large, but all paths loop around). Look for Heemtuin (botanical garden) in the center of the park, open during summer months, and enjoy its blooms, modest hedges and quaint stone path. If you venture out along the larger canal look for the man-made storks' nest, which rises like a monolith from the open meadow. If you have a few hours and want a taste of Dutch nature in Gouda, I encourage strolling here.
