Cute little spa, but check the bill because they tend to overcharge
Feb 2020
Cute little spa in Gouda in a beautiful building. However, they tend to overcharge, so be sure to check the bill (twice) before you leave!

Beautiful spa, great setting, excellent staff
Feb 2020 • Solo
Had a wonderful 4 hours at Spa Gouda.. it’s a calm welcoming place with a warm feel. I went on a Sunday and you have to book as they restrict the numbers which was great and gave it a community feel.. there are 4 saunas (2 outside in a courtyard area) 2 steam rooms a good size indoor relaxation pool, a hot tub outside too. A Hammam space and a lovely restaurant- they also do many treatments. Clientele was relaxed, a mostly young crowd on the day I went... very friendly. We did only have one sauna ritual (aufgus) all day which was a bit surprising as there would have been people up for more.. but the price was fair and it’s a good location... highly recommended

Real pearl of relaxation in the center of the city

This place is an oasis of tranquility and wellness. It is small, but very clean and has all the basic sauna's needed. Some very stylish resting rooms and a beautiful city garden. The sauna's are good, but not extremely special. The "opgieting" is an experience you have to join in. Normally at around 15:00 and 20:00 hours. Food is also available and the staff is super helpfull. You can park for free in the nearby car park Bolwerk (show your ticket). This is a secret hide-away. Reserve on their website before visiting. It is very quiet because they do not let people in on the fly.

Very good first experience
Jan 2019 • Solo
Easily accessible by train, it's a short walk away from the train station through city center. The facilities were clean, nicely designed, and great atmosphere. They have saunas from 45 Celsius (the steam saunas) to 90 Celsius (from 65 Celsius and up are the dry saunas). There's a pool, relaxation areas, and a courtyard area with a hot tub.

I went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all. The reasons I give it a 4 star instead of 5 is because the changing room is unisex and it would be nice if there were better drinks available on the cafe's menu.

I felt comfortable and relaxed here. Would definitely recommend!

Spa Gouda: does it get anywhere better than this?
Sep 2016 • Couples
We visit a lot of Spa's in Holland, from Huge ones to tiny little ones, each having its pro's and cons, it's charms and annoyances..
Spa Gouda is for us one of the best, price-size-installations-cleanliness-friendlyness.

Real wellness
This Spa is recently expanded, all brand new, clean, stylish, great outside space. The ritual of lolly is very cool, with fresh fruits offered afterwards. Also it's restaurant has delightful bites and drinks.... Definitely to frequent if it a fan of spa and wellness.

Another spa treasure experience!!
Apr 2014 • Couples
Recently, my husband and I were back in one of our favorite countries, the Netherlands. We visited several cities along our Bike and Barge trip, but one of the most memorable experiences ever was the Hamam spa in Gouda. If you have never had a "Hamam" spa experience, do yourself a favor and try and find one around you (altho there are not that many and some are not open to the general public for service). It truly takes the meaning of pure delight to another higher level of relaxing and joyous sensations. This was my first "Hamam" spa, but I think others could only compare equally or less, and would have to go all out to beat it. What did I love so much?? Was it the various steam rooms with rising temps to each, and the scent of fresh eucalyptus leaves being waved over you? Or the little fishes that nibbled at the skin/cuticles of your toes? The flowing water being poured over your body after a vigorous but wonderful massage? How about the foaming bubbles that were rubbed over you through a cheese-cloth like massage towel....I swear it felt like Angels brushing their feathers over me!!! Can't name just one....it was all of these and the whole experience was beyond fabulous!!! Warning: once you've had the "Hamam"....all other spas will never compare! You'll be hooked!
Details: Cost was reasonable for a half day period; very clean, great attendants, not crowded---weekday visit.

Very clean and nice staff, it is different than what most Americans would expect, but nice sauna and steam bath very nice while the others went on a long bike ride!
