step back in time at this 'banker's' mansion

A lot of detail went into the arranging and upkeep of this place. Very nicely done and worth to gaze around.

This large and beautiful home was absolutely filled with beautiful and interesting furnishings. The attic was particularly interesting. Must see.

The house is left as it was when the last owners died. It is a 19th century style mansion. It has several floors, with plenty of rooms to look into... it is nice to see, but again this house didn't impress me that much. On the top floor it has a collection of old dolls and other childrens toys... it... More

My friend Joan and her husband Peter give a beautiful high tea in the salon, so when we visited from the U,S. that was the first place they took us to from the train. Oh my what a treat, we met the owner of the house/museum who took us around and told us stories of the house. After the tea... More

Great small museum of 19th century lifestyle with authentic interior and ambience preserved. Tapestry room and gilt leather room are really exquisite. Definitely a No. 1 attraction to see in Dordrecht.

As described by everyone else. I've been there many times, it's a beautiful house and it takes you back in time.

Walking around in this museum take you years back in time, which is fun to explore. Old toys, rooms as they were decades ago. Just fun to visit if you have an hour or two.

The home of a rich industrialist and art collector, preserved in the state that he left it in. Not ideal for kids, although the vintage toy collection could be fun.

What a great time in this wonderful house that takes you back to an early day of luxury and splendid opulace. The toys in the attic is a place that brought a smile to my face, such craftsmanship in the carousels to doll houses. A must if you make it to this great city of Dordrecht.
