We walked this area while waiting for the Mondrianhuis to open. Its is a beautiful, peaceful old residential area in Amersfoort.Certainly worth a look.

As almost every month we take a walk around here. It is always lovely to to see the ancient buildings. Beautiful inner city piece of amersfoort!

Nice to stroll through the old streets. The Muurhuizen were also the town’s border in ancient times. Very nice tranquile. Also to be admired with a trip in a touristic boat.

You can see that the people living on this street are either very wealthy or very proud (probably both). Each home is freshly painted and full of flowers and climbing plants. It is a short, but lovely walk through history.

Muurhuizen is a dutch word for houses build in a ciity defence-wall.I enjoyed the circle walk along the charming architecture and saw some historic city gates as well.
