Nice small museum
Mar 2019 • Friends
This is a small museum in the middle of Hilversum. The have very interesting exhibits. They host every year the 'Silver Camera'. Which covers photos of current events around the world. It is always very moving and an exhibit well worth seeing.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can get a drink and sit in the museum.

Should be called Hilversum's Museum of Photography and Modern Art
Aug 2017 • Friends
This small museum in the heart of Hilversum usually has differing exhibitions by (famous) Dutch photographers. Newsreader Sacha de Boer come to mind. Won't mean that much to international visitors who don't understand the context. I think it is more geared to locals in North Holland. The history of Hilversum as a media city is not in this museum - for that you need to visit Beeld en Geluid (sound and vision). Best cup of coffee in the neighbourhood.

Nice space, boring exhibitions (usually photography.)
May 2016 • Couples
Space has a lot of potential, but all the 'world press photo/challenge' type exhibits are becoming very boring. Very unfortunate. Nice cafe on the first floor.

Jul 2016 • Family
I visited this museum for a special photo and video exhibition on the very actual issue of the refugees. Especially the video island of all together was very impressive. Be quick this specific exhibition ends July 31st!

Lots of nice exhibitions and interesting artworks
Aug 2015 • Family
Cheap, and they have a new exhibition every few months. Usually modern art. Very interesting. Recommended when you are in Hilversum, but do not go out of your way to visit it if you are in another part of the Netherlands.

Review Museum Hilversum
Mar 2016 • Couples
The Museum Hilversum changed her strategy to become an interesting player in video and photo exhibitions which will perform the museum in a better way than the old-styled art events. This strategy is also better suited to the small scale of the museum. The museum inspires since their new strategy by setting up attention-asking events. The last one is an example of that as a beautiful exhibition is going on regarding Jaap Drupsteen a very talented designer. He made a substantial number of videos, music and video-graphic productions and is famous for his
designs of banknotes.

Nothing spectacular but hosts nice specials every now and again.
Coffee in the cafe is good.

spacious display rooms for exhibitions that attract the eye
Aug 2015 • Couples
We went here to see a photo 'battle' between two photographers that went to Guatemala together and each took pictures in his/her own way. The colors are splendid. We enjoyed seeing this exhibition.
