About
The centre for media, culture, fashion, food and crafts with a libary, hotel, cinema, local markt and foodhall. The building where once the first electric trams in Amsterdam were serviced has been granted a new life. In the former tram depot, an official monument built between 1902 and 1928, you now find De Hallen Amsterdam. Right in the middle of the 19th century district Amsterdam West.

Plenty of choice for all types. Quite busy when I went and, as more and more of the Netherlands, its all card payments only.

Not sure if we were unlucky as we came on a Monday. It said here it was open from 11 but most of stores was still closed at 11 and food court did not open until 12.
There were not that many stores and the food court was really small so we did not wait.
A really let down experience.

So good! A little noisy at times but totally worth it. Amazing food and tons of choices. We had dinner there every night the whole week we were in Amsterdam.

I guess I had too expectations. A nice passage, some shops, a food market. I was expecting a more vibrant atmosphere. The food market offers various cuisines, which is nice. However, many of the restaurants feel a bit pricey and/or portions small.

Overrated. Quite far from center. Can’t compare at all with Mercado San Miguel or Mercado da Ribeira in Lisbon. A poor shadow of those. Only cards accepted. Not return for sure.

Broad range of restaurants in a large food court. Enough tables to house a lot of guests comfortably. Was here with my 8-year old who really liked the pasta while I had some assorted veggies.

Recommended visit for a lunch. Be there at opening, and you'll be able to browse freely before it starts to get crowded.

Stalls offering various cuisines.. very crowded and on the expensive side.

Had pita bread with chicken which was decent portion
Fried vegetables from padron and hot dog were good.
Lobster roll and crab roll from the sea food place were good but on the expensive side.

Loved it here, great vibes, good drinks, and lots of different foods to sample! The food hall was quite busy so arrive early or try and make a reservation..I'll be back and this place was cool!

A fun evening out with family of teenagers! Beautiful food options- everyone got something different but all meals were delicious. Busy and buzzy vibe. A bit stressful getting a table when we arrived but we got a drink at the bar at the back to begin with. Fabulous setting, a really fun way to spend an evening. Nice neighbourhood to wander round too to get a different view of Amsterdam.
