Neighbourhood: Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

upmarket art-dealer in famous 19th and 20th century paintings
Oct 2017 • Solo
Kunsthandel Peter Pappot sells paintings by the now famous French,Flemmish and Dutch painters, expensive and well known "big names" of the 19th and 20th century.
19TH century Dutch masters of" the Hague School"(Haagse School)and expressionist style are available;well decribed in many books available in the art-world.
Artists like Van Dongen,Israels Mesdag and Weissenbruch are for sale for collectors with a large budget.
Action houses also sell these kind of masterpieces but for travellers buying at an art-dealer seems more sensible as these actions are on very specific dates.
I found the staff very informative

unremarkable gallery
Jul 2016 • Business
This is an unremarkable art gallery. The collection is poorly curated, and not particularly relevant to what is happening in the rest of the art world. It is what you would expect to find in your grandmother's attic. The space is damp, choppy, and does not flow well. There are much better galleries located on the same street.
