A group of did this canal cruise last week and it was fairly disappointing. Upon arrival we were greeted with the prospect of being split into single seats throughout the boat. We did not pay all that money to be spread around amongst strangers! When...More

This was a great way to see Amsterdam because it gives you a good understanding of the city and it's history. Our guide was funny, informative and pleasant and the ride was at a good pace. A must do while visiting Amsterdam.

The canal tours are a great way of seeing a lot of what the city has to offer. The tours are given in a few languages in turn so you don't have to find a language specific tour. The tour lasts about an hour and...More

I went with an outfit called Canal Company (canal.nl). That particular trip was not a hop-off and hop-on type. It began and ended at the same spot.

I'm confused- some reviewers said the canal boats were large, some were open, some closed on top- and this reviewer said the boat was small. Soooo- how does one get the preferred size boat ?
